Chell

Chell is Portal's silent protagonist, but she's (at least to me) so much more than that!! <33

In most games silent protagonists are just plain vessels for the player or for the plot to happen to, but chell actually has, at least a little bit, a character of her own! No matter how hard you try to catch wheatley at the beggining of the game it's impossible- she fucking hates that guy !

over time ive become a bit more of a chelldos believer but extremely one sided, and its not chells. chell also hates this one as well. when you find potatOS the game's prompt is to grab her "pick up" (i think) and what does chell do? stabs her into the portal gun. yes it helps her and gives her more power but i ver much dount that was the plan

Cosplay

Chell is the main character I've wanted to cosplay ever! I've had plans to cosplay her since at least September 2023! Sadly im insane and want to make it as plot accurate as physically posible and i have precious little sewing skills so i haven't done actual work yet x_X

In 2024, at my first ever convention i did a little closet cosplay of chell! made up of many things i found on vinted and charity shops! I just used orange trousers and jumper as the boiler suit because ,shockingly, people dont tent to make orange boiler suits and are even less likely to sell them second hand online cheaply.
not many people recognised me but the few that did (mostly tf2 cosplayers much surprise) were so lovely :) genuinely the reason i got into tf2 was the great interactions with tf2 cosplayers i had at that con <3
